The root chakra is located at the base of your spine. It is the energy point that governs our connection to the world.

Also known as Muladhara, it controls our feelings of groundedness and stability. When blocked, it can cause deep fear and insecurity. A balanced root chakra makes you feel confident in your abilities and secure about your well-being.

The sacral chakra is located in your lower abdomen, just a few inches below the navel. It is also known as Svadhisthana and represents our connection to our emotions and the emotions of other people. It specifically relates to our sexuality, pleasure, and creativity.

A blocked sacral chakra can lead to emotional instability, mood swings, and sex-obsessed thoughts. When in balance, it allows you to feel comfortable in social situations and express your emotions without fear.

The solar plexus chakra is located just above the navel, near the top of your stomach. Also known as Manipura, it represents our personal power.

When blocked, the solar plexus chakra can cause feelings of shame, self-doubt, and low self-esteem. A balanced solar plexus inspires confidence and strength.

The heart chakra is located in the middle of your chest. It is the energy point that represents love for yourself and others.

Also known as Anahata, it promotes positive traits such as kindness, compassion, and generosity when energy flows freely in the chakra point. However, it can lead to feelings of loneliness, insecurity, anger, and lack of trust when it's out of alignment.

The throat chakra is located at the base of your neck. It represents our voice and how we express ourselves to others.

Also known as Vishuddha, it allows us to speak out with confidence. The throat chakra allows us to communicate clearly and truthfully. When blocked, this chakra can hold us back from expressing ourselves. It can also lead to issues such as gossiping, speaking without thinking, or overtalking.

The third eye chakra is located in the middle of your forehead, just above your eyes. It represents our ability to see beyond what is on the physical plane and into the spiritual realm.

Also known as Ajna, it allows us to tap into our intuition and make better decisions. A blocked third eye can lead to poor judgment, lack of insight, and overactive imagination.

The crown chakra is located at the top of your head. It is also called Sahasrara, which represents our connection with spirituality, higher consciousness, and our inner selves.

It is the energy center that allows us to connect with a higher power, whether it be God or the Universe. It gives us a sense of inner peace and fulfillment in life.  A blocked crown chakra can lead to feeling spiritually disconnected from others and the world around you.
